Meghan keeps the business side of our school humming. She has an center for item which makes her a meticulous record keeper and a stickler for policy adherence. Her compassionate spirit enriches everyone around her. To Meghan, Hillsboro is a second family and she loves using her gifts to assist abound and strengthen the school.
Dorothy Ewing, Operations Director
Dorothy began as a parent volunteer by giving tours and marketing Hillsboro to surrounding communities. She brings 2 decades of direction feel to our Operations Managing director position. Her background in management and sales has aided in our growing enrollment and, as a self-proclaimed people fanatic, she loves getting to know our current and prospective families. She is currently earning her Montessori Leadership Certification through the Middle for Guided Montessori Studies.
Krysten Griffin, Admin Assistant/Librarian
Krysten is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone, the smile face up at the door and the indispensable admin banana and classroom librarian for all levels. Krysten spent over 15 years in the public library arrangement before joining the Hillsboro team. She looks forwards to getting to know everyone and helping kids discover the joys of reading.
Anna Freiger, Lead Toddler Teacher
Ms. Anna brings 15 years of childcare experience to our toddler class. She loves our low student instructor ratio and the care our teachers show each student and to each other. Ms. Anna loves the Montessori philosophy and enjoys how information technology "just makes sense" in child development and learning.
Samima Hassan, Lead Main Teacher
Samima Hassan leads our Chief Class with unwavering kindness. She sees in her students the people they will become and never gives upward on them. She holds a certification from the North American Montessori Center in Babe/Toddler. Samima's dedication to her class earned her a 2d Montessori certification in Early on Babyhood from the Centre for Guided Montessori Studies. She loves teaching and using the child'south interests to make connections with their learning.
Raji Thopay, Principal Teacher
Raji is like family to our students. She brings to our school a decade of feel and an Infant-Toddler Certification from the North American Montessori Center. Her class is full of energy and curiosity, and she loves finding new ways to keep them moving and learning. Raji gives each child the same dear and attending they receive at dwelling. She will begin her preparation in Early Childhood from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in January 2022.
Katie Scruggs, Lead Lower Simple Teacher
Katie's creativity and adaptive style assistance her reach students at their level. She enjoys teaching the lower elementary ages and knows that non every child learns in the aforementioned way or at the aforementioned fourth dimension. Lydia Edwards, Lower Elementary Teaching Assistant

Miriam Lagona, Upper Elementary Teacher
Miriam believes that having real connections with her students makes a deviation in their education. She enjoys creating meaningful lessons that address diverse educatee needs and interests. Her students beloved her down to earth nature and know that she genuinely cares. She brings humour to her classroom and fits right in with our corny, punny crew. Miriam studied Montessori Fundamentals from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies and volition get-go earning her full certification January 2022.
Claire Tohill, Secondary Humanities Instructor
Claire recently earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary English Language Arts (ALTA) at the University of West Alabama. She believes learning should be student-centered and instructor facilitated in order to cultivate democratic learners who are critical thinkers and problem solvers. Our Secondary students love the fun Ms. Claire brings to learning.
Areli Tarango, Spanish Teacher
Areli teaches Spanish to our Toddlers through 12th grade! Her immersive lessons are fun and featherbrained with the Toddler and Primary students, interesting and interactive with the Elementary students, and conversational with our Secondary students. Areli makes learning Spanish an adventure by playing games, singing songs and incorporating puppets. She studied Montessori Fundamentals from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.
Cynthia McDaniel, Aftercare Coordinator
Cynthia McDaniel is our outstanding Aftercare Coordinator. She has a eye for serving and taking care of others. Helping our children become curious, compassionate and artistic comes naturally, because that's who she is!
Emily Welch, Aftercare Assistant
Emily is currently in school at The University of Montevallo working toward her Bachelor'due south in Uncomplicated Teaching. She was a gymnastics teacher for children and is brimming with ideas of aftercare activities. She thinks that learning should exist hands-on and fun!
Wendi Vick, Secondary Math Teacher
Math is cypher to fear when Wendi is pedagogy! While her love for math might not necessarily turn frowns upside downwardly, she knows how to connect students with math and teaches how to apply concepts to every day.
Leigh Sarver, Fine art Instructor
Leigh studied graphic design at the Savannah College of Art and Pattern. She inspires inventiveness in our students and enjoys sharing her love of art with others.
Ashlyn Dismukes, Music and Theater Teacher
Ashlynn's beloved of music and performance is infectious. From the front of the phase to the back of the stage, she has information technology covered. Ashlynn knows there is a place for anybody whether it's singing a big musical number, creating sets and costumes, or applying special effects makeup. Our students are excited to show and abound their confidence and creativity in her form.

Secondary Instructor, Math & Scientific discipline
We are looking for a loftier-free energy person with a passion for education, beloved for children and good advice skills. We are looking to fill the Secondary Math & Science (12-xviii years) classroom teacher position.
Secondary Instructor responsibilities include:
- Implement a spiral curriculum to expose students to many interrelated topics, repeatedly over time.
- Create a warm environment for the students
- Define/implement Montessori curriculum
- Foster and support cooperation and collaboration within the adolescent customs
- Programme, prepare and maintain units of study lessons
- Maintain individual pupil record
- Foster teacher/educatee/peer interactions that exhibit respect, and grace and courtesy
- Collaborative work with co-teachers
- Implement developmentally advisable and best practices
Requirements for this position are:
- Montessori training preferred and will exist required afterward rent
